London's Seedcamp leads $3.3m pre-seed for Swedish property AI startup Vessla

Stockholm-based Vessla emerges from stealth with backing from UK investor Seedcamp to automate workflows for property managers.

UK investor backs Nordic property AI play

London-based venture firm Seedcamp has led a $3.3 million pre-seed funding round into Vessla, a Stockholm startup building AI agents for the property management sector. The round, which Tech.eu reports was more than twice oversubscribed, marks Vessla’s exit from stealth mode.

Other backers include Inception Fund, Tiny VC, operators from Lovable and OpenAI, and a group of angel investors. Two named founders also took part: Lukas Saari, who founded Tandem Health, and Fredrik Hjelm, known for Voi and Pit.

Seedcamp’s involvement gives the deal a clear UK dimension. The firm is one of London’s best-known early-stage investors and has a long track record of backing European startups at seed stage, often before they have significant traction. Its decision to lead Vessla’s round signals continued UK investor appetite for Nordic AI companies tackling unglamorous but commercially significant sectors such as property operations.

What Vessla does

Founded earlier this year, Vessla is building what it calls an agentic operating system for property owners and managers. The platform is designed to sit alongside existing business software used by residential and commercial property operators, connecting systems that tenants, managers, suppliers and finance teams typically have to coordinate manually.

According to the company, tasks such as maintenance requests often require staff to move between multiple systems, checking property records and contracts, managing invoices and communicating with suppliers. Vessla’s AI agents are designed to retrieve relevant information, apply an organisation’s own operating rules, and execute workflows across connected software, while leaving decisions that need human judgment or approval with staff.

Vessla is already working with some of the Nordics’ largest property owners and operators, though the company has not disclosed specific client names or commercial terms.

Founders stress control and oversight

CEO Orman Gazvini said the company believes AI will fundamentally change how property companies operate, covering maintenance, costs, leasing and rental income. He said the harder challenge is making AI work at scale across the systems and processes that property companies already rely on, and that as AI takes on more execution work, people’s judgment, relationships and responsibility become more important rather than less.

CTO Kasper Janehag said deploying AI in complex business environments requires deep system integrations, access to relevant information and rigorous evaluation. He also flagged the need for clear limits on what AI agents are permitted to do when handling operational tasks across property portfolios.

What it means

For Vessla, the funding provides capital to continue building out its platform, with a stated ambition to eventually connect leasing, building operations and investment planning across entire property portfolios, helping operators spot ways to increase income and cut costs.

For the UK, the deal underlines Seedcamp’s continuing role as a lead investor in European AI startups outside Britain, reinforcing London’s position as a funding hub for the wider continent even when the companies themselves are based elsewhere.

What to watch next

Attention will turn to how quickly Vessla converts its early Nordic property sector relationships into paying deployments, and whether it expands beyond property owners and operators in the region into new markets or verticals.
